PREP 2027 ENROLMENTS

When enrolling your child into a Department of Education school, your child must have turned 5 by the 30th of April in their Prep year. We encourage parents to come on a school tour the year your child is in 4 year old Kindergarten. Please book via our  Book A Tour page. 

KEY DATES

The Department of Education has released a new statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.

10th February 2026 – School tours commence, please click here to book a school tour.

20 April 2026  – Prep 2027 Enrolment applications open.

31 July 2026   – Prep 2027 Enrolment application process closes.

By 14 August 2026  –  Families are notified on the outcome of the enrolment application process.

By Friday 28 August 2026 – If you receive an enrolment offer, you should accept the offer by by Friday 28 August 2026.

Term 4, 2026 – Take part in school transition sessions.

Thursday 28 January 2027 – Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep).

PREP ENROLMENT PROCESS

Our school uses the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents.

This means you can submit your Foundation (Prep) application online and receive updates through the system. If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school. Paper enrolment application forms are also available on request.  Enrolments open on 20 April 2026.

OUR SCHOOL ZONE

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

Kingswood also accepts out of zone students.

If you live outside of our school zone please kindly complete the enrolment process through the online VicStudents Portal or 95651 1727 for assistance.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.

YEAR 1 TO 6 ENROLEMENTS

We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.

Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.
